Abu Dhabi Al Falah Interchange Project was accepted by our client of Department of Transportation (DOT) on 31st March, 2015 with full opening to traffic. The successful completion stands for a positive result for CSCEC Middle East in contracting projects in the infrastructure sector in Abu Dhabi.

The project includes existing 6.6km roads of milling and overlay, 3.5km newly built roads, 4 bridges, 1 underpass, 3 protection culverts for existing gas pipe, MSE wall, road lighting and drainage works. The completion of this project has effectively improved the traffic connection for existing Al Falah Interchange Project, as well as traffic safety of Al Falah Community.

Al Falah Interchange Project is the first infrastructure project which our CSCEC ME contracted as main contractor in Abu Dhabi construction market with the client of Department of Transportation (DOT), and the whole duration is around 2 years. The positive comment and appraise from the client, will definitely enhance our reputation in the Abu Dhabi construction market, and lay firm foundation to the next step of business development in the infrastructure market in Abu Dhabi for CSCEC ME.

On 25th March, 2015, CSCEC Middle East (L.L.C) received the official Letter of Acceptance from Kuwait University, Kuwait Central Tenders Committee which awarded the contract of Academic Support Facilities at Sabah Al-Salem University City (hereinafter referred to as ACSF Project) with the accepted total contract value of KWD 139,780,000.00, which is equivalent to US Dollar 463 Million.

ACSF Project is an important part of the Sabah Al-Salem University City located around the boundary area of the whole Campus. The project consists of 27 unit buildings divided to 6 main Parcels – Plot 225 Administrative Staff Club, Plot 601 Male Housings, Plot 602 Female Housings, Plot 603 Model Schools, Plot 800s Support Facilities, Plot 805 Academic Units and seven external works for the six parcels. The total construction duration is 1280 days.

This is the first government project to be undertaken by Kuwait Representative Office, meanwhile it’s also the second mega project awarded to CSCEC Middle East (L.L.C) since we launched the Middle East Regional Operation Strategy. The awarding of this project is a great significance to CSCEC Middle East (L.L.C) for building the long-term development in Kuwait construction market, and shall also facilitate the further development of Kuwait Representative Office.

Arenco Real Estate Company issued an official Letter of Acceptance to CSCEC Middle East (L.L.C) once again as the main constructor to complete the Palm Jumeirah Resort Hotel at plot of PJCRC39 with accepted contract value AED 620 million.

The luxury 5* hospitality is located at the east crescent of Palm Jumeirah with totally 325 rooms, among which are 238 De-lux standard rooms. Built on one basement, it has 8 levels super structure with BUA 79,000 sq.m. To meet 5* hotel standard or above, the Crescent Resort hotel is interiorly decorated by high quality stone and exteriorly covered by GRC panels. Total construction duration is 830 days.

Crescent Resort Hotel is the fifth hotel project awarded to CSCEC Middle East (L.L.C.). Three of them are granted in 2014. CSCEC Middle East (L.L.C) will continuously spread its fame and make it long lived by excellent jobs carried out by our dedicated and professional team.

The newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to the UAE Chang Hua visited the Abu Dhabi Midfield Terminal Steel Structural Subcontract Project on 21st January 2015 accompanied by the senior management of CSCEC Middle East (L.L.C).

Ambassador Chang visited the project site and expressed warm greetings to the site workers. After that, Mr. Tian, the Executive Vice President of CSCEC ME delivered a brief presentation to him regarding projects execution, company awards and future strategy.

Mr. Chang spoke highly about the achievement obtained and hoped that CSCEC ME would constantly strive to provide high-end projects, explore the business in project financing and investment sector, and build up a good corporate image as being the Chinese state-owned enterprise.  Meanwhile, he instructed us to pay particular attention to the falling oil price with corresponding approaches to hedge the potential market risks.

He expressed that he was deeply impressed with the excellent work and ended his visit wishing the project staff “Happy New Year”.

CSCEC Middle East (L.L.C) was appreciated by the Dubai Municipality for the active participation in the Corporate Social Responsibility - Clean Up the World 2014.

During the closing ceremony at Dusit Thani Hotel Dubai on 22nd January, Engineer Saleh Abdul Rahman Amiri gave away the memento and certificate to CSCEC ME so as to appreciate all participants, coordinators and project teams for their whole hearted support and contributions.

Organized by Dubai Municipality, “Clean Up the World” is aimed at spreading awareness among the community in keeping the city clean, smart and healthy by getting rid of bad practices such as littering, spitting, smoking, drying clothes in balconies etc.

Recently, the Viceroy Hotels & Resorts Project has won its first industry accolade with architects P&T Architects and Engineers picking up the Hospitality Project of the Year at the seventh annual Middle East Architect Awards 2014 at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Dubai.

The award win follows days after SKAI Holdings announced it had completed just over 30 percent of the construction of the Project’s development. We, China State Construction Engineering

Corporation (Middle East) (L.L.C) (CSCEC ME), as the project’s main contractor and a key investor, has now begun structural works on level 15 of the 16-storey building. Work has also commenced on the fit out and mechanical electrical and plumbing (MEP) works.

The Middle East Architect Awards aim to recognise the best projects and people from throughout the GCC in 2014, ranging from the world’s tallest towers to one-off villas, and veteran designers to those bright young architects just starting out in the region.

Inaugural Huawei Mate7 Chinese Football Game lasted from October 17th to December 22nd, 2014 at Sport City ICC academy. There are 8 Chinese football teams and over 120 players in total participating in the games.

CSCEC ME Football Team consists of 19 Chinese and expats employees from HQ and Divisions. During the competition, all players adhered to the principle of “Friendship First, Competition Second” to enhance the spirit of teamwork to a new height.  Finally, we got fifth place among 8 teams.

The participation of the tournament aims to provide a platform for the football lovers to communicate and socialize as well as promote the employees’ sense of group honor and responsibility.

The 1st Company Family Day was conducted in Wenzhou Farm located between Dubai and Hatta Roads on the afternoon of 5th December.

Organized by Executive General Office, the event was attended by 21 families of the employees including Company Management. All of the people enjoyed their time in the farm, and kids were having fun by fruit and vegetable picking and fun games.

The Family Day aims at entertaining and rewarding not only our valued employees but their supporting families. The nature of the event offers subliminal team building opportunities, and forge relationships with the peers as well as further strengthen the employees’ sense of belonging to the Company.

On 26th November 2014, there was a celebration activity hosted by the UAE Ministry of Public Works (MOPW) at the site office of Al Amal Psychiatric Hospital Project in order to celebrate the UAE’s 43rd National Day.  H.E. Abdallah Bulheif Al Noueimy, Minister of UAE Ministry of Public Works, along with vice ministers, undersecretaries and the project team were present at the celebration.

During the celebration, the UAE Ministry of Public Works awarded the National Day Memorial Medal to CSCEC Middle East (L.L.C) for recognizing our great efforts and contribution in the construction for the Healthcare sector in the UAE. H.E. Abdallah expressed that CSCEC Middle East (L.L.C) is a reliable partner and MOPW will look for another opportunity to cooperate with CSCEC ME in other fields in the future.

This event has further strengthened the friendly relationship between CSCEC Middle East (L.LC) and UAE Ministry of Public Works.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates:

SKAI Holdings, the Dubai-based real estate investment company, has announced that it has completed just over 30 percent of the construction of its USD 1 billion Viceroy Dubai Palm Jumeirah development, and is on track to open as planned in 2016.

China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC ME), the project’s main contractor and a key investor, has now begun structural works on level 14 of the 16 storey building. Work has also commenced on the fit out and mechanical electrical and plumbing (MEP) works.

The luxury residential and hospitality project will offer 477 spacious rooms and suites and 222 signature Viceroy Residences. The property is situated at the base of Palm Jumeirah and is easily accessible from the city’s downtown center.

Yu Tao President and CEO of CSCEC ME said: “With almost a third of the construction completed on Viceroy Palm Jumeirah we are on schedule to open to guests in 2016.  Dubai’s tourism and hospitality sector continues to perform well, and with a clear vision and dynamic strategy led by Government and fully supported by the private sector, we expect continued and sustainable growth over the mid and long term.”
SKAI Holdings Suites in the SKAI at Jumeirah Village Circle is also under construction. Excavation work is in progress on the hospitality project, according to BNC data on this project. The 60-storey tower comprising of 234-hotel rooms, 234 one-and-two bedroom apartments and 33 penthouses is worth an estimated USD 329 million. The project is slated for completion in 2017.
